How did Planning For Baby start? . . .

As I went through pregnancy in an unfamiliar healthcare system I found there wasn’t a comprehensive resource that provided a good overall explanation of how the process worked during pregnancy, labor, birth and parenthood. Don’t get me wrong, if you need something specific, and have the time to look for it, there are some fantastic resources out there. I was short on time though, and wanted a resource that would explain all my options during pregnancy and birth and present them without bias in words I could actually understand.

I decided it was time to create that resource to help other women going through the same process and answer their questions in a clear, easy to understand and relate to way.

Who are your products best suited for? . . .

Our products are best suited for expectant parents that are looking for direct, factual, easy to digest information about planning, pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum and parenthood. We specialize in the Dutch healthcare system, so if you are an expectant parent in The Netherlands our information is tailored to the experience you will have here.

Who might your products not be a good fit for? . . .

There are 3 instances where our products would not be suitable for you:

First and foremost, if you are looking for medical advice. Our products are full of information, but they are in no way an alternative for prenatal and postnatal care or to be taken as medical advice. Please always consult a healthcare professional. Every pregnancy is different and your health providers are educated, experienced and will be able to consult you through the medical details of your specific situation.

If you’ve already had multiple babies and “know the ropes” of planning, pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and parenthood in The Netherlands, these books may not be for you.

Finally, some of our products would not be suitable for someone who does not live in The Netherlands. If you are unsure about a product, contact us prior to purchase with your questions.

What’s different about your approach? . . .

As a mother who gave birth in a healthcare system I wasn’t totally familiar with, it’s easy for me to relate to what other expectant parents are going through, and what info they are searching for. I likely had many of the same questions you currently do. PFB is an independent resource that aims to provide information about the wide range of options available to you during planning, pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum and parenthood. We believe by telling you about every option, we make it easier for you to make the best decisions for you and your growing family. We teach based on facts and studies and are not strongly focused in any one approach (for example: mindfulness or hypnobirthing), rather we present you with all different approaches and resources and allow you to choose what is best suited for you and your baby.

What will I learn in class? . . .

You'll learn loads of stuff during our private antenatal or group antenatal classes. Including, but not limited to:

We'll also prepare you by discussing Hot Topics like epidurals, tearing, and some of the not so glamorous sides to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Busting Rumors is a favorite part of each class, discussing the numerous rumors you may have heard about this healthcare system and whether they are true or not. By the end of class you'll be ready to approach your journey with confidence.

How long are the classes? . . .

Our private class is two sessions, consisting of approximately 6 hours total split equally over those two sessions. So each session is 3 hours.

Our group class is an all day session, consisting of approximately 8 hours with two short breaks and one lunch break.

If you head to our shop you'll find all the details outlined for each class.

What is your refund/cancellation policy for classes? . . .

·You can cancel a class 7 days or more in advance and receive a full refund.
· If you need to cancel less than 7 days in advance you will receive a 50% refund.
·In the case of a no-show, no refund will be given.
·Unfortunately, we can't be held responsible for errors in your scheduling. If you realize you have made an error please contact us as soon as possible to see if any changes can be made.

What’s your refund policy? . . .

For digital products that are not delivered on a tangible medium (digital downloads and other on-demand digital products):

·Due to the nature of digital file delivery no refunds will be given on products and services delivered digitally.

For physical products (example: affirmation cards):

·You may return your purchase if you are not fully satisfied with it within 14 days of the delivery of the shipment. We require that the product be returned in its original condition and original packaging (meaning all packaging is in-tact and the product is unused). You will be refunded using the same method of payment used during purchase. Please contact us at info@planningforbaby.com to set up your return.

Please note: If you receive a defective product please contact us right away with a description and we will approve a return and send a replacement or refund you.

Can I cancel my order? . . .

Our products are delivered digitally via email and the link to download them is provided as soon as payment is completed. Thus, it is not possible to cancel the order.

We try to ship out our physical product orders as soon as possible. If you know you'd like to cancel your order please contact us right away as it may be possible

What payment methods do you accept? . . .

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, iDEAL, and SEPA.

How do I get access to the files after purchase? . . .

Once payment is complete you will receive an email that includes links to your digital file(s).

Do you sell physical guides/kits or just digital guides/kits? . . .

Currently, we only sell digitally. We hope someday in the future to provide an option for physical guides (for those old school bookworms- cue me raising my hand), but we are not there yet.

gift cards

Do you sell gift cards? . . .

Yes, we do. These can be found in our shop.

How do I purchase a gift card? . . .

To purchase a PFB gift card navigate to our shop and then to the product Gift Cards. You can then select the value you would like to purchase and add the item to your cart the way you would with a normal product.

During checkout, you will be given the option to email the gift card to a recipient or to yourself (so you can print out the gift card as a pdf). Please note gift cards are only sent by email, we do not sell physical gift cards that would arrive via mail.

If you choose to email it to a recipient, you will be asked for:

Recipient name
Recipient email
A message to the recipient
Sender name

An email will then be sent to the recipient containing a unique gift card code.

If you choose to email it to yourself, you will be asked for:

Recipient name
A message to the recipient
Sender name

An email will then be sent to you containing a unique gift card code. Once received you can print out the pdf.

*Please note only one gift card can be purchased at a time so that the unique Gift Card codes come in separate emails in case of separate recipients.

I lost my gift card, now what? . . .

Please reach out via email: info@planningforbaby.com Each gift card has a unique code. We can look up this code and share it again with you via the email used for purchase.

How long do I have to use my gift card? . . .

Planning For Baby gift cards never expire. Any remaining credit that is not used will remain valid indefinitely.

How do I redeem my gift card? . . .

During the checkout process you will see an option to enter a gift or promo code under the order summary. This is where you will input your unique code. Once you hit the apply button you will see the gift card balance has been applied.
