When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our blog, store, new products and other updates.

How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 - SQUARESPACE
Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. To read more about their Privacy Policy please click here.
For customers:
Our store is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
When you buy something on this website, we collect personal information from you to fulfill the order. We may collect information like your:
· Billing and shipping address
· Details relating to your purchase
· Email address
· Name
· Phone number
We share this information with Squarespace, our online store hosting provider, so that they can provide website services to us.
For website visitors:
This website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace collects personal data when you visit this website, including:
· Information about your browser, network and device
· Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website
· Your IP address
Squarespace needs the data to run this website, and to protect and improve its platform and services. Squarespace analyzes the data in a de-personalized form.
Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Stripe stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

SECTION 5 – EMAILS
Marketing emails:
We may send you marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Convertkit, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf. You can review their privacy policy here.
Order emails:
We may email you with messages about your order. For example, we may email you for the following reasons:
· An order confirmation
· To provide a digital link and/or your digital download regarding the product you have purchased
· A notification your order has shipped
· A consultation appointment confirmation
It is not possible to unsubscribe from these messages. We share your contact information with Squarespace, our website hosting provider, so they can send these emails to you on our behalf.
SECTION 6 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

By submitting your story via email or directly through the website (www.planningforbaby.com) you give Planning For Baby the rights to publish the story on our blog, website, and social media channels. We will never include it in any products or items for sale.
You give permission to Planning For Baby to share the photo(s) you send with this birth story on our blog, website, and social media channels. You also have the choice to not submit a photo. If you do not submit a photo, Planning For Baby will pick an anonymous stock photo to accompany your story.
If you wish to have your birth story taken down from the blog and website, please write an email to jl@planningforbaby.com to make this request. We will confirm in writing once the story has been removed.
SECTION 10 - CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
